Cronometer users following Dr. Mercola's diet, have the option to sign up with the Mercola version of Cronometer.
If you do not yet have a Cronometer account, you can sign up to be automatically enrolled in Dr. Mercola's version here: https://cronometer.com/mercola/
If you have an existing Cronometer account, you can enroll your account in Dr. Mercola's version by logging into your Cronometer account. Then go to Settings > Sharing > Research and choose Enroll from the menu.
By signing up on https://cronometer.com/mercola/ or enroling your existing account in the Mercola study, you agree to share your data with Dr. Mercoa and Grassroots health.
GrassrootsHealth is a non-profit research organization that will be analyzing the mercola.com user data.
By agreeing to use Cronometer, you allow data to be collected on your progress and shared with GrassrootsHealth to document and track the success of this health intervention. Your data will be shared anonymously unless you choose otherwise. You will have the option to stop sharing your data at any time.
Mercola Specific features
The macronutrient breakdown features different colours than the standard Cronometer account. The Mercola version will break down Macronutrients as follows:
- Fat: Green
- Carbs: Red
- Protein: Blue
Keto Calculator Targets
Standard Ketogenic targets for Dr. Mercola's diet will be set in Cronometer as follows:
- Rigorous: 0.8g Protein per kg of lean body mass/ 20g non-fibre Carbohydrates/ Athletic Bonus Off
- Moderate: 1 g Protein per kg of lean body mass/ 40g non-fibre Carbohydrates/ Athletic Bonus On
- Relaxed: 1.5 g Protein per kg of lean body mass/ 50g non-fibre Carbohydrates/ Athletic Bonus On
Remember, Cronometer is to be seen as a tool to track consumption and all targets we have set by default are not for everyone. If you have different needs you are welcome to make the changes based on your healthcare professional's recommendation or personal preference. A custom Keto option is always available if you have more specific needs.
The Dr. Mercola version of Cronometer also offers a Ketofast option in the Keto Calculator. By turning Ketofast on, your targets will be set as Follows
