Go to the Settings tab and select Macronutrient Targets to customize your Macronutrient settings.
You can choose to track Total Carbohydrates or Net Carbohydrates. You can also choose to include or not include sugar alcohols in your carbohydrate count in this section.
Set Macros Using:
There are three different approaches to customizing your macronutrient settings with Cronometer. You can also edit your diet profile in the Nutrition Summary Diary Settings screen.
Your macronutrient targets remain the same each day. By default, this settings uses the Dietary Reference Intake values. Choosing Fixed Targets will let you input custom nutrient gram values directly in the fields below. These values can also be customized in the Nutrient Targets section of the Profile tab.
Dynamic Macronutrient Targets
This type of setting will dynamically calculate your macronutrient targets to achieve the ratio of macros based on your calorie budget. By setting your targets to a dynamic ratio, note that you will not be able to set a specific gram amount for each macronutrient. To set your macronutrient targets as a numeric value, select Fixed Targets.
Set your own custom ratio of protein:fat:carbs. This will dynamically calculate your macronutrient targets to achieve the ratio of macros based on your calorie allowance for the day.
Choosing a Ketogenic macronutrient target is a special case. Instead of targeting specific ratios, we dynamically calculate a maximum protein target based on your lean body mass, a maximum carbohydrate target and set the remainder of your calorie allowance to fats.
